Copy Facebook Comments to Excel

Paste a public Facebook URL — get all comments (with reactions, @mentions, and timestamps) in your clipboard or as an Excel file.

What this tool gives you

Facebook lets you select-and-copy a single comment with the right-click menu, but only one at a time — and on mobile that's not even possible. This tool fetches every comment under a post in one pass and gives you the full thread in a format you can paste into Slack, Notion, Google Sheets, Excel, or your CRM.

Use cases

  • Brand reporting — copy all comments under a sponsored post for the brand's monthly deliverable.
  • Giveaway entries — capture the full entry list before drawing a winner with our picker.
  • Customer feedback — copy comments under a launch post, paste into ChatGPT for a quick sentiment summary.
  • Crisis monitoring — pull every comment under a contentious post so the customer-success team can triage.
  • FTC compliance archive — store the export alongside the post screenshot for the 2-year FTC retention rule on sponsored content.

What gets copied

Every public top-level comment AND every reply, with the original @mentions preserved. Each row in the Excel export has: author display name, comment text, comment timestamp, reaction-type breakdown when available (like / love / haha / wow / sad / angry), reply-to author for thread context, like count, and the comment's permanent URL.

What can't be copied

Comments on private profile posts, posts in private Groups, posts visible only to the author's friends, and comments hidden by the Page admin. The tool reads only what an unauthenticated browser can see.

Plan limits

Per-post size scales with your plan. Free (no signup): up to 100 results per post. Personal: 5,000. Premium: 50,000. Business: 250,000 — see pricing for the full feature comparison and API tiers for the API-specific limits.

FAQ

Copy Facebook Comments — FAQ

Can I copy comments from a private Facebook Group?
Only if the Group is public. Private Groups aren't accessible to logged-out viewers.
Does the tool copy replies too?
Yes. Replies are included with a "reply-to" column so you can reconstruct the thread structure in Excel.
Are reactions included?
Yes — total like count plus per-reaction-type breakdown (like / love / haha / wow / sad / angry) when Facebook exposes the breakdown.
Will copying break Facebook's Terms of Service?
No — we only read publicly accessible comments, the same data your browser fetches when you scroll the post. We do not log into your account or scrape behind authentication.
Is there a comment limit?
The free tier (no signup) returns up to 100 comments per post. Larger comments and CSV/JSON require a paid plan: Personal 5,000, Premium 50,000, Business 250,000. See pricing.
Can I copy from a Reel or Page video?
Yes — Reels, Page videos (Watch + Live replays), and posts all work the same way. Just paste the URL.
How long does the copy take?
Most posts finish in minutes. You can close the tab — we email you when the file is ready.
